We retired that range, and everything we print now is a removable fabric wall decal or a giclée art print. What changed, and why it matters to you
Fabric wallpaper covers a whole wall in one sheet. Fabric wall decals are individual pieces of self-adhesive printed fabric, so you place each animal, cloud or flower exactly where you want it. The result is easier to change later, because you can lift one piece without disturbing the rest, provided the surface is suitable and the decal is removed as directed.
Removable fabric wall decals as the wallpaper alternative
Our decals are printed with Roland ECO-SOL MAX 2 inks, which hold GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions. The decals are designed to be removable and repositionable. How cleanly a decal lifts, and whether it can be reused, depends on the surface type, its condition and how the decal was applied and removed. Apply decals only to suitable, clean, dry, smooth and properly cured surfaces. Test a sample first when the surface, paint or finish is uncertain.
Where decals do the job wallpaper used to do
- A feature wall without the commitment. A large decal set, such as a woodland or dinosaur scene, carries a whole wall the way a patterned paper would, and can be taken down later when the room changes.
- A nursery that grows with the child. Start with soft clouds or florals, then swap in a name, a rainbow or a safari scene later without stripping anything.
- Rentals and share houses. Because pieces are individual, you can dress a bedroom or study nook and, where the surface allows, lift the pieces again at the end of the lease by following the removal steps in our guide.
How to choose a set
Pick the room’s theme first, then the pack size. Small packs suit a single wall in a bedroom or playroom; medium and large packs fill a full feature wall. Every product page shows the piece dimensions for each pack so you can measure the space before ordering. If you want a personalised name in the set, choose a design that includes one and enter the name at checkout.
Applying and caring for fabric decals
Clean the wall and let it dry. Allow freshly painted walls to cure for at least 30 days before applying decals, and follow the paint manufacturer’s full curing guidance. Press each piece from the centre outwards, reposition while you are still happy to move it, and keep the backing sheets if you plan to store pieces later. Safety
Keep decals out of reach of babies and young children and avoid positioning them where a loosened piece could be reached from a cot, bed or unsupervised sleep area.
