Placing Decals Around a Cot

Keep the wall directly above the cot mattress clear, or at least keep it to elements a standing baby cannot reach and pick at β€” the safest arrangement is a large piece centred well above the cot rails, with the smaller elements drifting off to the sides. Think about the view from the mattress, not the view from the doorway: a baby lying down sees the ceiling line and the upper third of the wall, which is exactly where a bird, a balloon or a few leaves earn their keep. Leave the lower wall for later, when they are tall enough to enjoy it.
